Busy Mandira gets behind the driver`s seat

While shooting for her TV show, '24', Mandira Bedi has been quite the busy bee, but not so busy to miss out on a drive of a red hot Ferrari

Testing the speeds of superfast sports cars during a vacation with her husband Raj Kaushal and their two-year-old son Vir, the actress was spotted at an auto theme park in Singapore.

Happily Never After: B-Town celeb's odd wedding fantasies

Happily Never After: B-Town celeb`s odd wedding fantasies

Some of our Bollywood personalities have harboured strange fantasies when it comes to tying the knot

They say love is blind. Perhaps endorsing this philosophy, some of our stars and starlets have expressed their fancy for some famous personalities, very different from themselves. And not just restraining themselves at romance, they have even gone a step ahead to picture themselves actually tying the knot with their objects of affection. Looking beyond the bleak chances of their matrimonial union, it has provided enough fodder for us to have a hearty laugh on, if nothing else....

Poonam Pandey and Hrithik Roshan
After making news for all the wrongs reasons this starlet recently made her Bollywood debut in a rather forgettable film. Other than 'volunteering' to strip before the Indian cricket team, she is best remembered for going on record stating her sentiments for Hrithik Roshan. Apparently, she wanted to marry him.

Sofia Hayat and Salman Khan
Salman Khan doesn't lack female following and due to his bachelor status, everyone from starlets to those on the fringes often blurt out their love for the Dabangg star. The latest addition to the list is the British model-actress who is not only entering Bigg Boss but also wants to marry Salman Khan while she's at it.

Rakhi Sawant and Baba Ramdev
There are very few on the small screen who can beat Rakhi at words. Thanks to her ability to utter whatever comes to her mind, the quintessential motormouth has courted controversies on a regular basis. However, when she said that she wanted to marry yoga guru Baba Ramdev, not many waited to blink.

Ekta Kapoor and Mukesh Ambani One of the most powerful women in the film industry today, Ekta has often stated how success in her professional life somehow hasn't kept up with her personal life. Once when asked about her idea of Mr Right, the 38-year-old reportedly had no hesitation to name Mukesh Ambani as her ideal husband.

Mallika Sherawat and Narendra Modi
This particular Indian actress has more flying miles than most of her contemporaries. Although her filmography leaves much to desire, she always makes news. Funnily enough, the controversial bombshell recently attracted ridicule for going overboard with her undeniable affection for PM-aspirant Narendra Modi.

Veena Malik and Amitabh Bachchan
On one hand, you have Pakistani musical talents giving complex to musicians in the country and on the other hand, there is Veena. Controversy is her biggest bedfellow. Not known to mince words, the eccentric actress once said that if there is one actor she wishes she could marry, it had to nobody else other than Big B himself.

Kamaal Rashid Khan and Sunny Leone
Popular for his haphazard tweets, the actor-businessman has never shied away from expressing his thoughts - no matter how outlandish they sound. When Sunny Leone was creating buzz with her Bollywood debut in Jism 2, the much-married maverick quipped that he wanted to marry the Canadian adult star.

Ram Gopal Varma and Sridevi
It's still debatable whether the once brilliant filmmaker has lost his touch but what isn't is his power of gab. The man says aloud whatever comes to his mind. Be it his admiration for Nathalia Kaur's curves or criticism of Karan Johar's films. He even went step ahead and expressed in detail his unrequited fondness for Sridevi.

Bobby Darling and Rahul Gandhi
The trans-woman actress is rarely seen in films nowadays but the vocal supporter of LGBT rights once went on record saying that she found Rahul Gandhi irresistible and would love to marry him if given a chance.

Anushka Sharma turns producer

Anushka Sharma turns producer

Actress Anushka Sharma, who has featured in films like "Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi", "Band Baaja Baaraat" and "Jab Tak Hain Jaan", is now set to try her hands as a producer for her film, "NH10".

The actress, who will also play the lead role in the film, is co-producing it with production house Phantom.

"I'm thrilled to get a chance to do this so early on in my career. And I couldn't have found a better project than 'NH10' to kick-start this new phase in my film journey," Anushka said in a statement.

The film will be directed by Navdeep Singh post his critically acclaimed debut `Manorama Six Feet Under`.

`NH10` is an action thriller about a road trip gone wrong.

Anushka, who recently worked with Phantom for her forthcoming project "Bombay Velvet", is looking forward to work with the production house again.

"This is my second film after 'Bombay Velvet' with Phantom, and it's a blast working with them. It's going to be super-exciting working together again on what promises to be an explosive film," said Anushka, who will also be seen with Aamir Khan in Rajkumar Hirani's "Peekay`.

The 25-year-old follows in the footsteps of actor Ranbir Kapoor who will be co-producing "Bombay Velvet".

Being shot this winter across the northern plains around Delhi, `NH 10` will release Sep 12 next year.

Kangna Ranaut: I am one of those rare super-women who will give a tough fight to our heroes!

Kangna Ranaut: I am one of those rare super-women who will give a tough fight to our heroes!
Kangna Ranaut’s journey in the world of glamour is a classic example of what the magic of an indomitable spirit and irreverence can do. The 26-year-old carries herself with the attitude befitting a glamour diva who has made it on her own. By portraying intense and interesting characters in movies like Gangster, Woh Lamhe and Fashion, Kangy carved a niche for herself in Bollywood. And just when we thought that she was getting typecast by playing a certain kind of character, Kangy offered a breath of fresh air and surprised us by playing a hatke role in Anand Rai’s Tanu Weds Manu. And now the curly-haired girl from the hills is switching gears. For someone who has always followed her heart and achieved success on her own terms while facing controversy on the personal and professional fronts, Kangna has gained strength and style to push the envelope in directions she wants to explore. And here she is playing a super-woman in Rakesh Roshan’s soon-to-be-released sci-fi flick Krrish 3, right alongside Hrithik Roshan. We caught up with KR recently to find out just how excited she is about her role in the movie…..

You are playing a mutant in Krrish 3. How natural is it for Kangna to play a super-woman?
Oh, it was tough for me, especially physically. Since I am playing this super-girl in the movie, we had special action experts who flew down from China to teach us the stunts. What I am doing in this film can’t be achieved by training alone in just a couple of months. Right from the beginning, when I was 16-17, I would do a full split and somersault. So that kind of prepared for me for this movie. You must have seen me doing all these stunts in Anurag Basu’s Kites too. So yes, all those things helped.
Are you set to give a tough fight to our super-men?
In the West many girls have done such roles, the likes of Catwoman. But I think I am one of those rare super-women who will give a tough fight to our heroes. I always wanted to portray a super-woman character. It’s a dream role indeed. I think people will love my character.
You look wicked in the promos…
I am not as evil as you see in the promos. My character has shades of grey. I am not as bad and as mean in this movie as I am in my next release, Revolver Rani. In Krrish 3 I am fierce mutant who is driven by animal instincts, but the character also has a soft side to her. In fact, Vivek Oberoi is very wicked in the film.
Are you happy that your character borders on the negative?
Yes, I think grey characters tend to stick in the audiences’ mind for a very long time.
We hear the role was first offered to Deepika Padukone and Chitrangda Singh…
No. In fact, I was offered this role first ,but my dates were clashing, as I was shooting for Ishqiya. Then it went to Chitrangda, Katrina and Deepika. But then eventually I bagged it. I believe getting a role is like marrying the right person. Jo jo jabhi hona hain, jiske saath hona hain, hoke rahega.
This is the extension of the first two stories we saw in this superhero sci-fi franchise. It must be easy for Hrithik to play the superhero once again. Were you as comfortable and confident as Hrithik, given the fact that this is your first sci-fi fiction drama?
Oh yes. In fact I was super comfortable, since I did not have to be in sync with the previous two stories.
Is Kangna Ranaut happy with her position in Bollywood today?
Every actor’s position keeps changing every Friday. What I considered to be my successful roles – like the ones I played in Gangster, Fashion and Woh Lamhe – were made out to be my failures too, because many people thought that I could do only a certain type of movie. I had to break that image, which is why I did Tanu Weds Manu. And in my upcoming movies I will try not to repeat anything I have done in the past. The acceptance I have got from the audience for every movie I have done, in every genre, makes me happy.
There were reports that you had creative differences with Rakesh Roshan over your role in Kites. And yet you are working with him again..
That’s not true. I never interacted with Rakesh Roshan while shooting for Kites. I had problems with Anurag Basu, because my character was not portrayed the way it was narrated to me. Rakeshji has delivered on the promises he made to me for Krissh 3. He’s a man of his word. Our cinema is incomplete without Rakeshjis’s film, not just because he gave us blockbuster movies like Karan Arjun or Khoon Bhari Maang, but because of the fact that had he not done Koi Mil Gaya and Krrish, it would have been a shame for our cinema that we did not have a single sci-fi film to be proud of and call our own.
You donned the hat of a director recently. What was the experience like? Would you like to direct more movies?
I would like to direct more movies here in India too, but it is too early to divulge more information on that.
Does the director in you help to grow the actor in you and vice versa?
A director has a lot more control over all the departments for making a movie. The director gets everything in sync and acting is one of the departments to take care of. So direction is a far more difficult job than acting.
Which superhero movie did you like most?
Avengers!
In the end, what matters the most to Kangna – critical acclaim or commercial success?
Critics will give their opinions, but in the end it’s box office success alone that can sustain the business of movie making. Having said that, I would like to add that I will never repeat myself just for the sake of commercial success. So when The Dirty Picture was offered to me – which was the story of a superstar’s massive collapse and how she goes through a nervous breakdown – I thought that I had done something in Madhur Bhandarkar’s Fashion or even in Woh Lamhe, so I refused that movie. Raanjhanaa was also offered to me and again I said no to Ananad Raiji, because I found a lot of similarities between my character in his earlier film Tanu Weds Manu and the female lead of Raanjhanna (which eventually went to Sonam Kapoor). So yes, one needs to have a healthy balance.

Nach Baliye 6: Rithvik Dhanjani and Asha Negi return home from the hospital

Nach Baliye 6, Rithvik Dhanjani, Asha Negi

The couple managed to injure themselves right in the beginning of their journey in the dance reality show

The Pavitra Rishta couple, Rithvik Dhanjani and Asha Negi had apparently met with an accident during the rehearsals of Nach Baliye 6 today (October 31). The couple was rushed to the hospital as they sustained severe injuries.
According to our source, Rithvik had a head injury and got about five stitches whileAsha got 12 stitches on her injured chin. Rithvik tweeted, “Adventurous nd a little painful strt to the journey jus returned home frm the hospital with a few stitches 12 for @AshaNegi7 nd 5 fr myself.”
The good news is that the couple is not planning to leave the show – thank god for that! Rithvik wrote on his twitter page confirming this, “And guys we both are fine but yes please keep us in your prayers, may be its just bad timing but it’s all false that we’d quit.”
Guess the couple will soon get back to action ‘coz we are eagerly waiting to seem them sizzle on stage, aren’t you BollywoodLifers?

Priyanka Chopra: I am the heroine in Krrish 3!

Priyanka Chopra, Krrish 3

Her last film – the remake of Zanjeer – may not have done well at the box office, but Priyanka doesn’t regret her role and is ready to charm her fans once again with India’s most loved superhero movie franchise

She walks in as if she owns the room. Frankly, wethinks she owns not just the room but the whole office – her presence is so strong! That’s Priyanka Chopra – actor, singer, international celeb and lead actor of Rakesh Roshan’s much-awaited sci-fi film Krrish 3. We recently caught up PC and though we had to wait for a long while for her, it was worth every minute. She looked the perfect diva in a black leather skirt and white blouse. But what caught our attention was the fact that she had teamed the outfit up with huge gold earrings. Not everyone can pull the look off with that much élan! Though she was obviously a little unwell, PeeCee answered questions patiently. She talked about her co-star Kangna Ranaut, three super-powers she would love to posses and her Hollywood plans…
How different and how much bigger is your role in Krrish 3?
Bigger ya smaller se farak nahin padta. But it’s an extension of my character. In Krrish we left the film at Krrish bringing me home and having me meet his grandmother. In this film, I am married to him. When Rakesh Roshan sir called me, he was very excited to narrate to me the film. And I knew that I would be part of the trilogy anyway, coz girlfriend ko thodi na maar sakte hain (laughs)! So I knew that I would be part of the film, but I didn’t know what he was going to do with my role. But he said, ‘You’re going to love this role’ and I actually did. Mere character mein duality hain. Mein biwi hoon and jaisi har biwi hoti hai, waise main buri bhi ban jaati hoon. So that’s the beauty of the film. I am also evil in the film. Kaise, kya, kyun…that I can’t reveal, but my character changes.
Could you tell us a bit more about the film…
It’s basically about good vs bad. I, Krishna and Rohit (Hrithik plays a double role) we are the good people and Kaal and his army are the bad ones. Kaal is played by Vivek Oberoi and his army is called Maanvar, which is combination of humans and jaanwar. So they are mutants and there is Rhinoman, Cheetahwoman, Chameleongirl – which is Kangna Ranaut’s character. So aage kya hota hai, wo toh main bata nahin sakti, but the way my character becomes evil through the film is what was interesting for me.
What was it like was it coming back to the franchise after seven years?
I loved coming back, because it’s a very interesting franchise. It’s a kid friendly movie and sci-fi, which as genre hasn’t been explored fully in India. I remember my favourite sci-fi film was Hatimtai. So as a genre it’s very new in Bollywood and Rakesh sir to me is a pioneer when it comes being a visionary. He not only envisioned something like this, but is also presenting it on a large scale. So it was great to come back to the franchise, because he had developed my character so much. In the film, Kangna, Vivek and everybody else wants me. Though I can’t tell you why – you need to watch the film for that. The best part is I am not just a damsel in distress; I play a pivotal role in the film.
There are so many characters in the film. Has each been defined well?
Mere hisaab se is film ki khasiyat iska screenplay hai. Every film has five to ten characters, but usually only two of them are highlighted or given importance. But iss film mein Rakesh sir ne story ko puri tarah nibhaya hai. When people watch the film, they will find every character interesting and entertaining.
Did you face any challenges while playing this role?
It was not challenging at all. I think it was very easy (laughs). I use to sit back and think, ‘Wah, aaj mujhe evil play karna hai – good!’ And main apna mood change kar leti thi uss hisaab se. Besides that, this was a very fun film. Jab Hrithik Roshan action scenes karke aata tha, he use to be all sweaty and tab main AC ke samne baithi hui hoti thi and I use to laugh at him. And even used to ask him, ‘Paani chahiye?’. So I had loads of fun while shooting the film
Could you tell us about your evil streak?
I can’t elaborate, because then it will give away too much. I think that’s something people should wait and see in the film.
Hrithik, Kangna and Vivek have action scenes. Will the audience see you doing some too?
Why do you think they are doing action – because of me, yaar! Girls create wars (laughs). In the film, I am the reason everything happens. For me, it was very interesting to be a part of such an intense, big action film. And there was nothing like two actors having catfights on the sets. There was a stupid report in the paper. I mean why would be I threatened when my and Kangna’s characters are completely different? I have done too many multi-starrer films. In fact, Kangna and I are actually good friends. We get along really really well. But we have only two scenes together. Usually in action films, heroines don’t have much to do. But in this film our characters are so well defined and well written. So aisa nahin tha ki uska role zyada accha hai mere se.
Rakesh Roshan said that when Kangna was approached for the film, she initially said no, coz you were in it….
Koi bhi karega… because eventually I am the heroine in the film and I have been part of the franchise. Anybody else coming into the film would be worried. But I am happy Kangna did the role, coz many heroines refused to do it. By the end of it, main Rakesh sir ko bola, main hi kar deti hoon yeh role (laughs). That happened during Barfi! also. There were at least four girls who said no to the film. It happens… But I am happy Kangna saw the potential in the film, coz it’s a phenomenal role that she plays. I don’t know why anyone would turn it down. She gets to do action, she is part of the army and a chameleon girl, her character has so many interesting elements. So I am glad Kangna had the vision to do it. She is one of those actors who does things like that.
Was it a mistake to be in the remake of Zanjeer?
I have had a lot of films that haven’t done well, but I never turn around and say any of them was a mistake. Every film has been my decision and I have done them because I decided to do them. Nobody forced me. Some work, some don’t. Every film has its own destiny. So I don’t think Zanjeerwas a mistake.
Which three powers would you like to have if you were a super-woman?
Ek to mere paas already hai. Main multi-tasking toh karti hi hoon. So I feel I am a form of Durga (smiles). One super-power that I would definitely like to have is to be able to read people’s minds.Mujhe lagta hai log kuch kehte hain aur wo sochte kuch aur hai. So to know what people are really thinking would be interesting. Also, I would love to go back in time and change a few things. So time travel would be another. Lastly, I am very lazy, so telekinesis taki ke aisa ho ki main jab ungli uthoon to remote mere pass aa jaye automatically.
If you went back in time, which one thing would you like to change?
Something like, I wore a bad outfit, change. Wardrobe malfunction, change (laughs). Little things, because I don’t have any big regrets in my life; everything has sort of contributed to be me being what I am. And I like me. So I am okay!
After entering into the international music circuit, how do you plan to take it further in Hollywood? Will you do Hollywood movies as well?
For me, my music is an extension of my creativity. I am an actor, but I am a creative person too. I am handling two careers and it’s difficult for me handle both of them. I am glad so far my two songs have done well, but I will take time to really settle down in my music career and hopefully my new album will be out next year. As far as Hollywood movies are concerned, agar hua to hua. I don’t plan things. But I want to do things that no one has done before. I want to be a game changer. I want to make movies, I want to playback for other heroines. I don’t know everything I want to do. I even want to write a book. I want to do everything possible as a creative person.
Madhur Bhandarkar is planning a sequel to Fashion. Would you be open to do the film if he offers you a role?
Is he? I didn’t know that. But I will have to hear the script. It all depends on what kind of story it is.

Krrish 3 movie review: A formulaic superhero adventure powered by pompous visual effects

Krrish 3 movie review: A formulaic superhero adventure powered by pompous visual effects

The superhero entertains by wielding his magical powers coupled with the commendable visual effects. Krrish 3 is a brave film made strictly to woo kids and hardcore Hrithik Roshan fans. Unfortunately, discerning filmgoers will be left disappointed with Rakesh Roshan’s heroic attempt that delights only visually

With great power comes great responsibility said Peter Parker aka Spiderman. While watching Krrish 3 this line rings in your mind quite repeatedly. There’s no escaping from the fact that the onus of responsibility is almost always placed on the director’s shoulder especially when he is making a superhero flick. It is indeed a tightrope walk to keep the audiences thrilled with the superhero’s prowess and simultaneously weave a concrete plot to expose his vulnerability and his human side.
Hrithik Roshan starring Krrish 3 delivers on the power front, but it doesn’t quite move you emotionally. So you see the desi man-in-black doing some unimaginable duties-from bringing an ill fated air-plane to a screeching halt in order to save lives of people on board to carrying the top chunk of a collapsing skyscraper on his mighty shoulders. He even takes on genetically mutated creepy creatures single-handedly. Visually these adventures look stunning, but unlike Koi Mil Gaya-the first part of Roshan’s sci-fi franchise- that had its heart at the right place, Krrish 3 seems soulless.
Even if the brisk pace of the first half of the film keeps you thrilled, the second half is crammed with sketchy VFX’s. The highly predictable and unimaginative plot doesn’t add to the thrill quotient either. In the end, you get a movie that may delight you with its indulgent special effects, but the formulaic story leaves you disheartened
The plot:
Happily married to Priya (Priyanka Chopra) our superhero Krishna (Hrithik Roshan) now lives with his scientist father Rohit (HR again!) in Mumbai. While Krishna does odd jobs to hide his true identity from the world, Rohit is a scientist who is busy working on a project that can possibly employ dhoop or the sunlight to restore life into dead beings.Krishna becomes Krrish on a daily basis to save the island city from various ordeals with his heroic efforts while wifey Priya flaunts her anglicesd Hindi as a reporter with a leading news channel.
All is hunky dory until a life-threatening epidemic hits Mumbai. Kaal (Vivek Oberoi) the owner of a giant pharmaceutical company has antidote for the scourge. (No prizes for guessing that he only created the virus to rake in moolah and teach the world a lesson). Belted to a wheel-chair, the menacing man functions through his army of mutants aka maanwars (a curious combination ofmaanaw and jaanwar) Kaya (Kangna Ranaut) the unique blend of chameleon and human, is a devilish babe who can change forms at the drop of a hat. She is ably supported by the frog-man, the rhino-man and a battery of other mutants who work for Kaal on his mission to destroy the world by creating lethal viruses.
Just when the world comes to believe that only Kaal can save the human race from the deadly outbreak, Rohit creates the antidote using his superhero son Krrish’s DNA. This angers the villain and that triggers a mighty face off between the evil and the good- in short between, Kaal and Krrish.
What’s hot and what’s not?
If you believe that superhero movies are not meant just for kids then Rakesh Roshan’s Krrish 3may let you down on many levels. Don’t get us wrong. We salute the senior Roshan for putting Krrish, India’s official modern superhero, on the global map with his incredible vision and courage.
In fact, we had loved Koi Mil Gaya for the vulnerability the lead character Rohit (Hrithik Roshan) had displayed and the emotional chord it struck within us. The beautiful plot weaved around a simple tale of underdog’s victory over the challenges he faces in life, KMG made us cry, laugh and relate with its characters. The simplicity of the story-line was rooted in a strong emotional foundation. The effort was honest to the core and the saga was worth telling. Even in the sequelKrrish, the director had maintained a fine balance between technical bravura and a thrilling story.
Krrish 3 takes the same tale forward, but it ultimately becomes just a showy technical attempt packed with stunning visual effects. The dialogues are preachy and the line-hum sab mein ek Krrish hain is repeated frequently throughout the movie.
While you may not necessarily mind to keep your behinds glued to the seat as our superhero indulges in stunts in this sleek-looking drama, what will definitely get on your nerves are the shabbily shot, tacky songs that are so oddly placed in the film that even Krrish- the ultimate saviour-can’t rescue you from the torture they inflict. Barring Raghupati raaghav number all other tracks are a pain to watch and tasks to listen to.
Performances:
Hrithik Roshan breathes fire in and as Krrish (3). While portraying the podgy and old Rohit, the honey-eyed actor shows a mighty command over acting skills. Both his body and body language is the stuff the superheroes are made of. His effortless dance moves and his physical attributes easily make him every bit of a superhero that he is even off the screen. The effort he puts in to perform some intense scenes and grueling action sequences is unbelievable. Priyanka Chopra doesn’t have much to do in a movie that’s essentially a superhero flick and judging by her act in this one we refuse to believe that she is the same Barf! babe who can bag awards and accolades for her acting skills.
Kangna as the mutant Kaaya looks edgy and powerful. Her tall frame, the ease with which she enacts the character and her toned body work in Kangy’s favour. Vivek Oberoi as Kaal is impressive. The dude has done a fine job of conveying his bottled up anger, frustrations and helplessness as the menacing villain who seeks revenge , rather passionately.
Our verdict:
All in all, Krrish 3 is a sincere attempt to raise the bar of superhero movies in India, but it has eventually turned out to be an indulgent affair that can keep kids (and Hrithik Roshan’s ardent fans) entertained this weekend. Don’t walk in the theatres with the expectation to get an engagingly hatke story and you are likely to come out with a smile that comes from watching your kids happy and giggly.

Has Kareena Kapoor Khan signed a film opposite Farhan Akhtar?

Has Kareena Kapoor Khan signed a film opposite Farhan Akhtar?

Buzz is that the hottie and the hunk have been roped in for Dev Benegal’s next

A little birdie tells us that Kareena Kapoor Khan has reportedly signed Dev Benegal’s next, opposite Farhan Akhtar. If birdies are to be believed, this is the first time Kareena and Farhan will be coming together on the big screen. Earlier, the duo had been offered Sudhir Midhra’s film but things didn’t work out back then. Farhan has previously starred opposite fashionistas like Deepika Padukone and Sonam Kapoor.
We also hear that Farhan’s sister Zoya Akhtar has offered him a cameo appearance in her next film which stars Priyanka Chopra. Whether he’s doing the role or not isn’t confirmed yet. Anyways, we really hope that he does share screen space with Bebo and we also wonder if the husky voiced actor will romance Begum Bebo in Dev Benegal’s film. The film is likely to go on floors next March. Keep watching this space for more!

These gorgeous actors have graced the cover page of the anniversary special of a popular glossy. Which version do you think will sell better?

While Priyanka Chopra in her jungle billi avatar has posed for the cover of the Hindi version of Femina, Kareena Kapoor Khan appears classy and elegant on the English edition of the magazine. For the fifth anniversary special Priyanka flaunts her slender figure in a black bikini top teamed with a black leather jacket and light blue distressed jeans. Bebo looks breathtaking in a white and indigo blue gown with a long train as she poses alongside blank-faced mannequins.
PeeCee shows off her wild side with messy hair and quirky accessories. We must say that the Exotic babe looks very hot n’ sexy. On the English version of the popular glossy, Kareena’s hair is stylishly set and she looks very sophisticated. In the photoshoot for Femina, Bebo is seen in yet another gown with a black and white top with a satin peach flowy hemline and a thigh-high slit. She looks bold and beautiful as she strikes a pose with a seductive look in her eyes. In another shot, she is seen in a lehenga skirt with floral motifs matched with a full-sleeved floor-length top that is slit near her midriff. Traditional, yet so sensuous, we must say. All in all, she looks mesmerising!
Both Bebo and PeeCee are looking great and it’s difficult for us to decide who looks better. So you tell us, BollywoodLifers, who looks better as the cover girl for Femina?

Trade Buzz: Will Krrish 3 cross the Rs 100 crore mark in its opening weekend?

Trade Buzz: Will Krrish cross Rs 100 crore mark in its opening weekend

With Krrish 3, Rakesh Roshan is taking forward his sci-fi superhero franchise with son Hrithik Roshan in the lead. But will this mega budget film live up to expectations. Will it become the highest grossing film of this year? We find out….

Director Rakesh Roshan’s Koi Mil Gaya and Krrish set the cash registers ringing. Now the successful director is back with Krrish 3, the third installment of his superhero series– this one stars Hrithik Roshan, Priyanka Chopra, Kangna Ranaut and Vivek Oberoi.Krrish 3 has at all – star power, visual effects, new-age villain and great buzz. Surely it can’t get better than this! But will it rule the box office this Diwali? Will Krrish 3 get a thunderous start? Exhibitor-distributor Akshaye Rathi says, “Krrish 3 is undoubtedly one of the big ticket movies releasing this year! While the numbers from the first three days may not be as big as they would have been if the film had released on the 4th because of the activities people keep busy with pre-Diwali, the film is sure to rake in a lot of money in its overall run at the cinemas.”
Most filmmakers bank on public holidays to boost their film’s prospects at the ticket windows. That’s what Senior Roshan is also hoping for by releasing Krrish 3 during the Diwali weekend. Plus, the Hrithik Roshan-Priyanka Chopra starrer has no competition at the box office, which will prove to be a huge advantage. “The trailers are doing fantastic and the buzz is great around the film; however, Krrish 3 lacks in music. But since it’s a solo release and that too during Diwali weekend, Krrish 3 will benefit from this,” points out distributor Sunny Khanna.
With so many factors working in its favour, will Rakesh Roshan’s latest offering beat the box office record of Chennai Express, the Shahrukh Khan-Deepika Padukone starrer? “Chennai Express was a solo release during Eid and managed to get cash registers ringing. So is Krrish 3 at Diwali. Also, the ticket prices of the superhero film are higher in multiplexes, just like Chennai Express. In that way, there is lot of similarity between the two films. But as far as beating the record of Chennai Express is concerned, I think the movie will collect around Rs 180-200 crores, but that’s just an estimation. The collections can go beyond that,” added Khanna.
Rohit Shetty’s romcom became the first film ever to cross Rs 100 crore nett in its opening weekend. Will Krrish 3 outdo SRK’s film and race ahead? “Rs 100 crores should surely be crossed in the first four days, by Monday. In fact, the film would have surely crossed the lifetime figure of Chennai Express had the songs been better, but the chances are even despite that,” believes Rathi.
Whether Krrish 3 breaks all the records set by Chennai Express is to be seen. But one thing is for sure, it will be a dhamakedaar Diwali at the box office with Hrithik back in his black cape and more super-power!

Tumhari Pakhi promo: Why does Iqbal Khan want a divorce?

Tumhari Pakhi - Iqbal Khan and Shraddha Arya

The Life OK show marks the return of the dishy dude onscreen

Iqbal Khan plays the character of Anshuman in Life OK’s Tumhari Pakhi, who was married as an infant 18 years back.
The daily soap talks about the 18-year-long wait of a woman for the return of her husband and the story of a man who wants to get rid of the bond he was made to tie as a child. Anshuman is coming to Rajasthan with the hope that Pakhi (Shraddha Arya) has moved on in life and probably has forgotten him. So she will willingly give him a divorce.
However, when he knocks at her door he realises that Pakhi has been waiting for him for the past 18 years to come and take her with him. How will Anshuman now ask for divorce? Who should he blame for the mess his destiny is in?
The last time we saw Iqbal was in Sanjog Se Bani Sangini in 2010-2011. Post which the actor did a few hit and miss roles. We are really glad to see the actor back in form on the small screen. We missed him, right?
Take a look at the promo and tell us what you think BollywoodLifers!

Ram-Leela dialogue promo: Why is Ranveer Singh not paying full attention to Deepika Padukone?

Ram-Leela dialogue promo

Because the lead actor of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s desi version of Romeo-Juliet is in thodu tension… Confused? Read on to know what we are trying to say

If you think Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Ram-Leela is all about love and war then you’re in for a surprise. The latest dialogue promo from the film is surprisingly funny. The first thing that caught our attention while watching the video was the fact that Ranveer Singh has mastered the native Gujarati language. His dialogue delivery is flawless specially ‘coz he speaks fluently with that typical Gujarati accent. The conversation between Deepika Padukone and Singh will leave you in splits. Watch the promo and get the first hand experience, we say. Coming to the ‘thodu tension’ part, well it’s just part of the dialogue which you’ll love to hear again and again only ‘coz Ranveer says it with perfection!
Apart from Leela, there are Sejal, Bijal and Kinjal as well in the Bhansali’s magnum opus. Who are they? We aren’t going to give it all away. Check out the dialogue promo and find out yourself.
PS: Thodu tension, pacchi tane full attention is going to stay in mind for a while!

Halloween special: 8 spooky Bollywood movies!

Halloween special: 8 Bollywood spooky movies

So many Bollywood horror movies have come and gone, but only few managed to get us jumping out of our seats in fright. This Halloween we came up with a list of films that actually deserved to be called ‘horror stories’

When it comes to horror films, Bollywood has come a long way. Haunted mansions, evil spirits, ghosts, witches and most recently, zombies – filmmakers have tried every formula they could imagine to scare their audiences to the edge of their seats. Sadly, not every production has had that special ‘boo’ factor. But Bollywood has indeed doled out some creepy movies that will give you goosebumps every time you watch them. If you really want to get into the true spirit of Halloween, take your pick….
Raaz: Though it’s an unofficial remake of the Hollywood film What Lies Beneath, director Vikram Bhatt provided some sensible chills. Malini Sharma, who played the evil spirit, created ripples with her slick performance. Overall the movie was shot well, with great sound effects that managed to spook audiences.
Bhoot: Ram Gopal Varma is the director with the most horror films to his name. And undoubtedly,Bhoot tops the list as his best film in this genre. While Urmila Matondkar’s acting is brilliant, we thought Rekha was equally scary, courtesy her witch avatar. Chilling sound effects, good lighting and great performances contributed to making this one an actually spooky film.
13 B: Very few Bollywood horror movies are devoid of clichés, but this isn’t one of them. Besides sounds effects, a gripping story and a taut plot are the USP of this R Madhavan starrer. If you love scary movies, this is one you don’t want to miss.
Phoonk: Varma’s Phoonk is about black magic, but that’s not why it is on our list. Watch it for ogling crows, out-of-focus soft toys, wooden artefacts, scary background music and, of course, Ashwini Kalsekar, whose charcoaled eyes will give you a serious case of the jitters.
Darna Mana Hai: Yet another attempt by RGV to scare the audience – and he does manage to succeed, to some extent. Six stories have been seamlessly blended into one plot. But what makes this film spooky is the camera work, sharp cuts and excellent background music.
Ragini MMS: Based on the concept of paranormal activity, Ragini MMS is inspired by a true story. The film is technically well shot, has chilling background music and does manage to send shivers down your spine. Watch this one for Kainaz Motivala – she goes crazy, is frustrated and terrified of being caught in an unnervingly crazy house with her boyfriend’s bleeding corpse for company.
1920: Adah Sharma’s performance in this supernatural thriller by Vikram Bhatt will take you on a scary ride. The boo monster will send you into your blanket, though only during the climax.
Sangharsh: Technically – or in any other aspect – this isn’t a horror film. But we had to mention it because of Ashutosh Rana, who plays the baddie. Every time he came into the frame, he spooked us with his acting and bulgey-eyed look. The actor proved that you don’t need a ghost or spirit to scare the hell out of anyone!
